The kiln workers who reached the DM office have accused the kiln operators of paying less wages than the wages fixed by the government. While submitting a memorandum to the Baghpat DM, they have demanded to be given the wages fixed by the government.

Dozens of brick kiln workers reached Baghpat Collectorate under the banner of Brick Kiln Workers Union. The brick kiln workers allege that they are being paid less than the wages fixed by the government and sent away from the kiln. The minimum wage fixed by the government is Rs. 675 but the kiln operators are paying them Rs. 520 as wages. Due to this, they are facing a lot of difficulties.

When they complain about this to the kiln operators, their problem is not resolved and they are being sent away from the kiln by forcibly settling the accounts after paying them less wages. Kiln worker Praveen Shripal and others said that the kiln operators are paying them less wages than the wages fixed by the government and forcibly sending them away from the kiln after settling the accounts, due to which the families of the kiln workers are very upset and they are facing financial crisis. Kiln workers have demanded from the Bagpat DM to provide them the wages fixed by the government.
