The administration’s bulldozer ran in former CM Akhilesh Yadav’s village in Etawah. The administration got the valuable forest department land worth crores vacated by the land mafia by running a bulldozer. About 150 bighas of land was freed from occupation.

Land mafia and strongmen had been occupying the forest department’s land for a long time. Despite giving warning notices several times, the occupation was not being removed from the forest land. Under the direction of Saifai SDM Deepshikha and forest inspector, the land was freed from occupation by running a bulldozer and the land mafia has been warned.
In Barauli Kala village panchayat of Etawah’s Saifai tehsil, about 150 bighas of land that was occupied by land mafia and strongmen for years has been vacated in two phases. The strongmen land mafia had occupied the forest department’s land for a long time by farming on it. Despite several notices and warnings from the forest department, the strongmen had still occupied the land. After this, the forest department wrote a letter to the district administration to free the department’s land worth crores of rupees from occupation.

Investigation conducted by local officer
The district administration took serious cognizance of the matter and directed SDM Saifai Deepshikha to free the department’s land. Etawah’s District Divisional Forest Officer Atul Kant Shukla said that it was brought to the notice of the forest department officers that the strongmen in Gram Panchayat Baraulikala have taken possession of about 140 bighas of forest department land. After this complaint came to light, the local officer of the forest department was asked to investigate the entire matter and after this, the district level officers were instructed to take initiative in the direction of freeing the land from encroachment.

The villagers had complained to the forest ranger
Deepshikha, Deputy District Magistrate of Saifai, said that as part of the campaign being run by the state government against people who have been illegally occupying the forest department land for years, the revenue and police team reached there and freed the land from occupation. She said that some villagers of Gram Panchayat Barauli Kala had complained to the regional forest inspector Srinivas Pandey. Some people of the village are preparing to plant paddy on the forest department land, on which the forest inspector matched the land with the map and gave a written complaint to him.
