Elections for the management executive committee of Jain society were held at Tirgaran temple in Meerut. Suresh Jain Rituraj won for the 11th time. He is also the city president of BJP in Meerut unit. Along with Suresh Jain Rituraj, all the members of his panel were victorious.

Elections were held at Tirgaran temple for 21 members including president, prime minister and treasurer. Premchand Jain was elected unopposed for the post of deputy minister and Anil Jain alias Kakku for the post of deputy chief. Election officer Vinod Jain said that out of 3316 people, 1201 voted. 81 votes were rejected.

Suresh Jain got 1017 votes and his nearest rival Praduman Kumar Jain could get only 100 votes. In the election, there were three candidates for the post of Pradhan, two each for the post of Prime Minister and Treasurer.

The election officer said that the voting was conducted peacefully. Suresh Jain Rituraj and his panel were victorious. Due to the heat, the voting percentage was only 36%. 21 members were also elected. Rajendra Kumar Jain, who contested for the post of executive member, raised questions on the election process.

He said that the elections were announced in a hurry. There are many names in the voting list of people who live abroad or have died.
