The application process for Air Force Common Admission Test (AFCAT) 2024 in the Indian Air Force is going on from May 30. Through this, 304 posts will be recruited in the Flying Branch and Ground Duty Branch of the Air Force.
The last date for application for recruitment to these posts has been fixed today i.e. 28 June. Candidates can apply by visiting the website afcat.cdac.in. Candidates who get final selection in AFCAT will join the courses starting in July 2025. After completing the course, Short Service Commission will be provided in the Air Force.
Educational Qualification :
Flying Branch :
- Must have passed 12th Science stream (Maths and Physics) with 50% marks.
- Passed BE / BTech with 60% marks.
Ground Duty (Technical) Branch :
- Must have passed 12th Science stream (Maths and Physics) with 50% marks.
- Passed BE / BTech with 60% marks.
Ground Duty (Non Technical) Branch :
- Must have passed 12th Science stream (Maths and Physics) with 50% marks.
- Graduate/Post Graduate from any stream with 60% marks.
Age Range :
Flying Branch :
20 to 24 years
Ground Duty :
Between 20 and 26 years
Selection Process:
- Written exam
- Interview
- Medical Test
Salary :
Rs 56100 – 177500 per month.
Exam Pattern :
- The AFCAT written exam will be of 300 marks.
- 100 questions will be asked in the two-hour exam.
- In this, objective type questions will be asked from subjects like General Awareness, Verbal Ability in English, Numerical Ability, Reasoning and Military Aptitude Test.
- There will be negative marking in the exam. 1 mark will be deducted for every wrong answer.

- Click on the IAF AFCAT 2 2024 link appearing on the home page.
- Fill the information asked in the form.
- Scan and upload all the documents.
- Pay the fees and submit the form.
- Take a printout of the form and keep it.
