Team India celebrates after winning the T-20 World Cup.
BCCI will give a cash prize of Rs 125 crore to the Indian team that wins the T20 World Cup. Board secretary Jay Shah himself announced this on Sunday.
Shah wrote on X- ‘I am very happy to announce that Team India, which won the T20 World Cup, will be given a prize money of Rs 125 crore. The team displayed tremendous talent, dedication and sportsmanship throughout the tournament. I congratulate all the players, coaches and support staff for this extraordinary achievement.’

20.36 crore rupees received for becoming champion
The Indian team received a prize money of Rs 20.36 crore for becoming the world champion a day ago. The ICC had announced an increase in the prize money before this tournament.
Team India became world champion a day ago
The team won the T20 World Cup a day earlier, on 29 June. The Indian team has become the champion in this tournament after 17 years. Not only this, India has ended the 11-year drought of ICC trophy. India defeated South Africa by 7 runs in the final match at the Barbados ground.

1. Congratulations, we are the world champions
After 2011, everyone was longing to see Kohli or Rohit lift the World Cup trophy. The long wait of 13 years is over. Rohit’s team snatched the T20 World Cup from South Africa. They won such a final that everyone had thought was a loss.

2. Kohli-Rohit retire from T20
After the T20 World Cup final, Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli retired from T20 Internationals. Rohit said in the post-match press conference, ‘This was also my last game. There couldn’t be a better time to say goodbye. I wanted this (trophy) very much. It is very difficult to put it into words.’
