There may be a change in the pattern of NEET UG exam. Currently this exam is conducted offline in pen-paper mode.
Officials associated with the central government said that now changes can be made in NEET on the lines of JEE Mains exam for admission in engineering colleges. The National Medical Commission (NMC) will take a decision on the report of conducting the exam on the new pattern.
In 2019, the Health Ministry had refused to conduct online exams
Earlier in 2018, the then Education Minister Prakash Javadekar had said that the NEET exam for medical entrance would be conducted twice a year in online mode from 2019. However, the Health Ministry did not allow the online test. The ministry had said that conducting the exam in online mode could harm children from remote and deprived areas.
Jairam Ramesh said – We will place our demands in both the houses
Congress MP Jairam Ramesh said that we will put forward our demands in Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha that what does this NTA do? It gets all the exams conducted by private companies. Scams have happened in Bihar, Gujarat and Madhya Pradesh. There is BJP government everywhere. The Education Minister first says that nothing happened, this is a minor matter, later he talks of investigation by CBI and forms a high-level committee. We are demanding the resignation of the Education Minister.
On the other hand, Congress leader Shakti Singh Gohil held a press conference on the NEET issue on June 29 at the Congress headquarters in Delhi. He said that there was a setting of exam centers in the NEET exam. BJP leaders are also involved in this. Jai Jalaram School of Gujarat had donated to the BJP. Some candidates were asked to choose Jai Jalaram School as their exam center. Blank checks and cash were taken from the parents. Smriti Irani also attended the program of this school.
Education Minister said- New date of NEET-PG will be released in two days
Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan said that the new exam date for NEET-PG may be released in the next two days. In fact, the NEET-PG exam to be held on June 23 was cancelled a day earlier on June 22.
While talking to the media in Panchkula, Haryana, Pradhan said- Congress does not want a discussion on the NEET issue, it only wants to spread chaos and confusion. On behalf of the government, I clearly said that we are ready for any kind of discussion, but Congress does not want to talk about the students’ issue. They want the matter to continue.
On the night of 28th June, NTA has announced the date of UGC-NET, CSIR-NET, NCET exams.
Chirag Paswan said- decision will be taken in the interest of students
Chirag Paswan visited Bihar for the first time on June 29 after becoming the Union Minister of Food Processing Industries. During this, he said in the NEET paper leak case – We are in touch with students, parents and teachers. The decision that is best for the students will be taken.
He said that agencies are investigating the NEET case and the hearing is also going on in the court. The opposition should not do politics on this.
Paswan said that the opposition does not want a solution to this issue but wants to create a spectacle. If you want a solution, then you should let the Parliament proceedings continue.
The accused arrested from Gujarat will remain in CBI custody for 3 days
4 accused arrested from Godhra in Gujarat in the NEET paper leak case will remain in CBI remand. Last month, Gujarat Police arrested 5 accused in the case. CBI had sought custody of 4 of them from the Sessions Court. After the court order, now Jai Jalaram School Principal Purushottam Sharma, Tushar Bhatt, Vibhor Anand and Arif Arora will remain in CBI remand till July 2.
CBI conducted raids in 4 districts of Gujarat
In the NEET paper leak case, the CBI on Saturday raided 7 places in 4 districts of Gujarat. According to news agency ANI, these raids were conducted in Anand, Kheda, Ahmedabad and Godhra districts.
On June 28, the CBI arrested Oasis School Principal Ehsan Ul Haq, Vice Principal Imtiyaz and journalist Jamaluddin from Hazaribagh in Jharkhand. The agency suspects that they have leaked the NEET and UGC-NET papers.
CBI has so far arrested five people in this case. These include 3 people from Jharkhand and 2 from Bihar.
UGC NET paper leak suspected to be from Jharkhand’s Oasis School
According to CBI, on May 3, instead of taking the NEET question paper from Hazaribagh Nutan Nagar centre of courier agency Blue Dart to the bank, it was first brought to Oasis School. After this, it was sent to the bank from here. It is suspected that the packet of question paper was opened in the school itself. Oasis School was also a centre for UGC NET exam. 20 thousand candidates filed a petition regarding irregularities in NEET
About 20 thousand candidates have filed petitions in the Supreme Court regarding NEET paper leak, irregularities in the result and giving grace marks without any basis. All these petitions will be heard on July 8.
