More than 150 contract workers of the Social Welfare and Tribal Development Department and Women Welfare Department gathered in Lucknow and raised their voice for regularization. The contract workers said that if regularization is not done soon, they are ready for agitation.

Outsourcing contract workers posted in the Women Welfare Department and Social Welfare Department are raising their voice against exploitation. After listening to the problems of contract workers, Council President JN Tiwari said that contract workers are being constantly harassed by the officers. Salary is deducted when they go on leave. There is no provision for medical treatment. Outsourcing employees are being given honorarium arbitrarily.
Threat of FIR
He said that the Principal Secretary, Women Welfare has verbally instructed these workers not to come to work. Their signatures on the attendance register have been stopped and they are being threatened with registering an FIR. The President of the State Employees United Council, JN Tiwari, while addressing hundreds of employees gathered from across the state, said that he will convey the voice of contract and outsourcing employees from across the state to the Chief Minister. Even after a letter was sent by the Additional Chief Secretary, Personnel, to not fire the contract employees of the Women Welfare Department, giving instructions not to take up the work from the level of Principal Secretary, Women Welfare is dictatorial.
