BCCI will bring Team India by chartered flight: Team is stuck in Barbados due to storm; Operations at airport closed

Team India is stuck in Barbados due to Hurricane Beryl. Team India was to return the day after the thrilling victory in the T20 World Cup 2024, but due to the storm, Team India could not leave for India. According to a report on Tuesday morning, BCCI will bring Team India back by chartered flight.
However, no official statement has come from BCCI. According to the report, Team India will leave Barbados on Tuesday evening and will reach Delhi the next day i.e. by Wednesday evening.

Had to come back on 1st July
The Indian team was scheduled to fly to New York on Monday to return to India, but the team’s schedule was disrupted due to bad weather.
The report said that Hurricane Beryl, which was in the Atlantic, was blowing winds of up to 210 kmph. This Category 4 storm was about 570 km east-southeast of Barbados and due to this, operations at the airport were halted.
Team India became world champion on 29 June
The team won the T20 World Cup on 29 June. The Indian team has become the champion in this tournament after 17 years. Not only this, India has ended the 11-year ICC trophy drought. India defeated South Africa by 7 runs in the final match at the Barbados ground.
