Indian cricket fans have waited for an ICC title since 2013 when an MS Dhoni-led side lifted the Champions Trophy in England. Under Rohit Sharma’s captaincy, India earlier played the World Test Championship (WTC) final in 2022 and the ODI World Cup final last year but lost on both occasions. The dream was finally fulfilled when an unbeaten Indian team emerged victorious in the T20 World Cup.
