District Panchayat President Kalpana Sonkar started the tree plantation campaign in Kaushambi on Tuesday. The president planted 5 fruit trees in the district panchayat residence. DFO RS Yadav was also present on this occasion along with local leaders.

A tree plantation campaign has been started in the district from 1st to 7th July. The forest department has claimed to have made large scale preparations for this. The forest department has prepared saplings of fruit and giant trees with the help of rangers and forest workers at the tehsil level. Through this, a draft has been prepared for planting trees on the sides of government and roads.

According to DFO RS Yadav, people who plant trees at the district level can easily get trees from the nursery of the forest department. For this, they will have to get their Aadhaar and the place of plantation verified from the department.
President Kalpana Sonkar said, on the call of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, a tree plantation campaign has been started in the district as well as in the entire country. She inaugurated the campaign by planting 5 fruit trees Mahua, Mango, Guava, Jamun and Amla in the District Panchayat office and residence. The purpose is to increase the greenery of the district and develop the forest area.
