E-rickshaw charging points will be built by the Municipal Corporation in Varanasi district. For this, the Municipal Corporation team has selected 34 places in the city. Where more than three e-vehicles can be charged simultaneously at a time. The corporation has sent the file to the government to finalize this project.

Electric vehicles will be charged at major intersections of the city

Assistant Municipal Commissioner Revenue has sent a letter to the Urban Transport Directorate. In which it has been given complete information that a total of 20 e-rickshaw charging points will be set up on the main roads of the city. Apart from this, the locations of some major areas have been identified. Where a total of 14 points will be made. The corporation team has duly measured the land for its establishment.

Toto drivers will benefit from e-rickshaw charging point.

Reasonable rate will be fixed for charging

Additional Municipal Commissioner Anil Yadav said that for the last several months, e-rickshaw drivers in the city had been demanding that charging points be set up in the city. Apart from this, people using electric vehicles also had a demand here. On which the Municipal Commissioner took the initiative and got the city surveyed and a letter has been sent to the government for its approval. He said that right now our first priority is to get it installed in the city. After this, how much will be charged for charging will be decided at that time.

E-rickshaw union had protested for city charge point

Under the banner of E Rickshaw Union, Toto drivers from all over the city gheraoed the Municipal Corporation office and staged a sit-in protest for about 1 hour. They said that for the last 3 months we have been giving pamphlets to the Municipal Corporation officials regarding our various demands. On which the Additional Municipal Commissioner informed all the Toto drivers about the initiative taken by the corporation and assured that it will be established soon after getting approval from the government.
