Late night, near Muzaffarnagar bus stand in Sadar police station area of Shamli, people working in the canteen of a liquor shop beat up three young men and an elderly person. Two people are in critical condition in the incident, while four people have been injured.

Near Dhimanpura gate of the city in the Sadar Kotwali area of the district, half a dozen people launched a deadly attack on a businessman father and son at 11 pm. One of them is in critical condition after getting head injuries in the attack with iron rods and sharp weapons. The injured were admitted to the hospital, from where two people were referred. The victims allege that the police is trying to cover up the incident and if the police is unable to arrest the accused, then the police will have to face the anger of the Punjabi society.
It is alleged that during this time half a dozen people attacked them with sticks, rods and sharp weapons. In the attack, Sitaram was seriously injured after being hit by a sharp weapon on his head. While Sitaram’s son Harshit and nephew Gaurav were also seriously injured. The injured were taken to the hospital at night. The police also reached the hospital. On receiving the information, people of the Punjabi community also reached the hospital and later the police station.
