There was a wedding at the house of Bhandari alias Istekhar Ansari, resident of Azad Nagar Ward of Rudrapur Nagar Panchayat of the district a month ago. To attend the wedding, his married daughter Afsana Khatoon (32 years) wife of Irfan alias Sonu Ansari, resident of Teliya Kala police station Mail, also came with her 3-year-old son Golu. On Wednesday afternoon, mother Shaida Ansari (55 years) was taking out mangoes from the fridge.
The family took the injured to the community health center
During this time she got caught in the electric current flowing in the fridge. Seeing the electric current her daughter Afsana Khatoon (32 years) tried to save her. Both mother and daughter fell away due to electric shock. Afsana’s son Golu who was standing nearby also got injured due to coming in contact with the current. The family took the injured to the community health center.
There, the doctor declared the mother and daughter dead. Shaida Khatoon was buried in the graveyard in Rudrapur. While the body of her dead daughter Afsana Khatoon was taken to Teliya Kala by her family. SHO Ratan Kumar Pandey said that the family did not want to get the postmortem done. On the demand of the family, the police filled the Panchnama and handed over the body.
