Preparations for the Kanwar Yatra have begun in Muzaffarnagar.
Chairperson Meenakshi Swaroop got angry after seeing the leaking roof of the Kanwar Control Room situated above Gol Market in Muzaffarnagar. She immediately issued instructions to the junior engineer of the construction department to repair the roof and fix the wires lying here and there.

Regarding the upcoming Kanwar Yatra, Municipal Chairperson Meenakshi Swaroop inspected the Kanwar route and control room along with EO and subordinate officials. While inspecting with the councilors, she issued orders on the spot to repair the leaking roof of the control room and fill the potholes on the road. Shivaratri is on August 2. Kanwar Yatra is going to start before that.
Every year during the Kanwar Yatra, crores of Shiva devotees pass through the city. A Kanwar control room is built at Shiv Chowk Gol Market. When Municipal Chairperson Meenakshi Swaroop and EO Dr. Pragya Singh inspected the control room being built at Gol Market along with municipal officials and councilors, they became angry after seeing the condition of the roof.
Instructions for painting the divider
Along with getting the roof repaired, she ordered to remove the wire mesh from there. Seeing the fountain closed at Ahilya Bai Chowk, she ordered JE Construction Kapil Kumar to repair it. The Municipal Chairperson also ordered to fill the potholes created in the road due to the sewer line in front of a medical store at Navalti intersection. She also ordered the city health officer Dr. Atul Kumar and the sanitation inspectors to dispose of the garbage on time. While she also directed to get the dividers painted. Councilors Manoj Verma, Rajiv Sharma, Honeypal, Pramod were present.
