If you do not get the birth and death certificate made within 21 days, you will have to face trouble. Also, it will not be easy to make changes in the certificate. If the application for birth certificate is delayed for more than 21 days, a report from the CMO office will have to be submitted.

For the death certificate, the details of the Aadhaar card of the deceased’s parents or guardians will also have to be given. Till now, there was a system to get the certificate only after one year of death on the report of the Tehsildar. But now at least the report of the Sub Registrar has been made mandatory. All this will happen due to the new software.
The system was simple until now
Till now, the process for birth and death certificates was easy. Birth certificates of children were being issued easily on the basis of the report of any hospital. Death certificates were being made by attaching the report of councillor, accountant or officer. It was also easy to make changes after the certificate was issued. Changes like name, date of birth or death were made on a single OTP.
Changes were made to the software
After the change in the software, different OTPs are being issued for amendments. After the certificate was prepared, it was sent to the applicant’s mobile through a link. Now, as soon as the certificate is prepared, only its information will be received on the phone. After this, one will have to go to the Municipal Corporation office and get a copy of the application.
Only coloured certificates are valid in schools, but applicants are facing problems as the Municipal Corporation does not have a coloured printer. The census graph increases every year on the basis of certificates issued by the Municipal Corporation. The employees used to issue certificates to whoever needed them.
Similarly, whenever a death occurred, the clerks were issuing certificates by taking a small amount of money. On one hand, this corruption was spoiling the census equation, on the other hand, it was being misused in cases of admission in schools and property disputes.
City Health Officer Dr. Vijay Kumar said that the changes made in the software are under the control of the Central Government. Lucknow Municipal Corporation cannot do anything in this. Birth and death certificates will be made as per the rules.
