A financial inclusion fair was organized by the Indian Postal Department in Ghazipur today. In which the Postmaster General of Varanasi Zone, Krishna Kumar Yadav said that the Postal Department is working to connect the last person of the society with the concept of financial inclusion, Digital India and Antyodaya.

He said that today about 10 thousand people have opened savings accounts in the financial inclusion fair. Also, insurance premium of Rs 10 lakh has been deposited. Apart from this, 500 women have opened Mahila Samman savings certificates. 500 Sukanya Samriddhi accounts have been opened.

During this, Postal Superintendent P K Pathak welcomed the Postmaster General and other guests and gave information about the progress of postal services in Ghazipur. On this occasion, Postmaster General Krishna Kumar Yadav distributed passbooks and policy bonds to the beneficiaries of Sukanya Samriddhi Yojana, Mahila Samman Savings Certificate and Postal Life Insurance in the ‘Financial Inclusion Fair’.

The concept of self-reliant India will be realised

On this occasion, the chief guest felicitated the working postal workers and encouraged them. While distributing the passbook of ‘Sukanya Samridhi Yojana’ to the daughters, he said that if through this the daughters become self-reliant, then the concept of ‘self-reliant India’ will also be realised.

Through IPPV, postman and rural postal workers are working as a mobile bank today. The chief guest said that under CELC, various services like making Aadhar card of children at home, updating mobile, digital life certificate, DBT, bill payment, payment from bank account through AEPS, vehicle insurance, health insurance, accident insurance, Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana are being provided by IPPB at home through postman.

On this occasion, Superintendent Post Office P.K. Pathak, Assistant Superintendent Sanjay Kumar Singh, Sub-Divisional Inspector Ashutosh Kumar, Vicky Kumar, Dilip Pandey, Aniket Rajan, Postmaster Ghazipur Head Post Office P.K. Rai, along with all officers and employees were present.
