After being closed for repairs, the tourists who used to visit Chota Imambara and Bada Imambara were not able to see the Rumi Darwaza properly. Due to which the tourists visiting Lucknow were disappointed. After the door was painted during the repairs, the door has become shiny and the cracks have been completely filled.

Maulana Kalbe Jawad said that the time to come will tell how strong and good the work done on the gate is. He said that all heavy and commercial vehicles passing under Rumi Darwaza should be banned. So that the gate can be kept safe for a longer period.
