Late Thursday night, consumers of Thakurganj came out on the streets and created a ruckus after the power cut. It is alleged that the power cut at 5 pm was not restored till 11.30 pm. After that, the consumers got angry and reached the sub-centre. They did not get the correct information from there either. They got angry with that

Wasi, who lives here, said that due to the power outage at 5 pm, there was a water crisis in the houses. Apart from that, everything from cooking food at home to children’s studies was affected. He said that the condition of electricity has been very bad for the last two months. Even after complaining many times, there are power cuts every day. During this time, people kept calling the customer care number 1912 but did not get any help from there.
Electricity theft caught in Duda Colony
To curb electricity theft, a joint team of LESA and Vigilance conducted a checking campaign in Munnukheda, Duda Colony of Para on Friday. As soon as the investigation team arrived, people came out of their houses. LESA workers started checking each house one by one. This infuriated people and they started creating a ruckus.
Four kilowatt electricity theft was detected at the residence of Shanti Devi and Naresh Pal. Five kilowatt load electricity theft was detected at the residence of Harshit Yadav of BKT. Apart from this, seven people were caught stealing electricity in Sanjog Nagar, Sadar and KCC Colony of Hussainganj Division.
Residency sub-centre will remain closed for 7 hours
Due to repair work, Residency and Ahibharanpur sub-centre will remain closed for 7 hours on Friday. Supply will remain disrupted from 10 am to 5 pm. During this time, many areas including Golaganj, Haider Mirza Road, Pul Jhoolal, Guin Road, Jagat Narayan Road, Khatikana, Ghosiana will be affected. However, it is being claimed that supply will be provided from other sources. There will be power cut in Shivnagar, Azad Nagar, Dhanakpurva of Ahibharanpur sub-centre from 10 am to 4 pm.
