A video of cutting down a Peepal tree is also going viral. Cut trunks of neem and Peepal trees are kept in the area behind the emporium. Permission has to be taken from the forest department to cut down a green tree. The forest department officials are not aware of the cutting of trees.

The Forest Department is organizing a Van Mahotsav program to protect the environment from July 1 to July 7. Under this program, the Forest Department took out a procession of plants with band music. Plants became the groom and the employees of the Forest Department became the baraatis. Social service organizations, school children and environmental protection organizations also participated. A plant distribution program was organized at the Taj Nature Park.

50 lakh plants will be planted
DFO Adarsh ​​Kumar says that Agra district has got the target of planting 50 lakh trees. The forest department will plant 15 lakh trees. New trees will be planted in place of the trees that have died in the past years. Considering the heat this year, the need for green trees is felt more.
