The Maharashtra government will give a reward of Rs 11 crore to Team India which returned after winning the T20 World Cup. Chief Minister Eknath Shinde announced the honorarium on Friday. He met Indian team captain Rohit Sharma, Suryakumar Yadav, Shivam Dubey and Yashasvi Jaiswal at his residence and honored them.
Then the Indian players were welcomed in the assembly premises by placing the tricolour on both sides of the red carpet amidst the beating of drums. After this, they were welcomed in the assembly premises by showering rose petals amidst the traditional dance of Maharashtra.
Here Indian captain Rohit Sharma said jokingly- ‘After taking the catch, Suryakumar told me that the catch has landed in my hands, if that catch had not landed in Surya’s hands, I would have let him sit. We had not won the World Cup for many years. The last time we won the ICC Champions Trophy was in 2013.’

Our youth need a platform: CM Shinde
Maharashtra CM Shinde praised Suryakumar Yadav’s incredible and match-changing catch in the T20 World Cup final against South Africa. He said- ‘I welcomed Team India yesterday. Today Rohit Sharma came here, I thank him for this.
We are proud that he is a World Cup winning player and also he is from Mumbai. Despite winning the World Cup and being such a big player, he is a down to earth person. I welcome all my players. We saw a huge crowd in Mumbai yesterday. Our youth need a platform and Rohit Sharma will provide it to them. The government will provide them all possible help.

Dubey said- we liked it very much
Here Shivam Dubey said that we are feeling very good that you invited us. I am proud to live in Maharashtra. Jai Maharashtra. Apart from this, Yashasvi Jaiswal, Suryakumar Yadav were also present.

Team India received a grand welcome after returning from World Cup
A day earlier, Team India, which returned after winning the World Cup, was given a grand welcome in Mumbai. Here the victory parade of the Indian team took place from Nariman Point to Wankhede Stadium. During this, more than 3 lakh fans were present on Marine Drive.
The Indian team won the T20 World Cup last week by defeating South Africa by 7 runs in Barbados. Virat Kohli, who played an innings of 76 runs, was chosen as the Player of the Match.
