As soon as the information was received, the local police reached the spot. After identifying the deceased, they informed the family about it. Also, the body of the deceased youth was taken into custody and sent for post-mortem.

The incident took place in village Virguwan Dagra situated on Jhansi Kanpur railway route under Et Kotwali area. 25 year old youth Dev Singh son of Ghanaram, resident of Pirona village, used to work at a petrol pump situated in Sesa village of Jhansi district.

He was taking care of his family with the income he earned. On Thursday, Dev Singh reached his home. There, a quarrel broke out in the house while eating dinner in the evening. The quarrel escalated so much that Dev Singh left the house at around 10 in the night.

The body was taken into custody and sent for post-mortem

He committed suicide by jumping in front of a train at village Virguwa Dagra situated between Jhansi Kanpur railway line. This incident came to light when railway employees passed by there at night. They saw the body of the youth on the railway track. They immediately informed the police.

On receiving the information about the body being found on the track, Inspector-in-charge of Et Kotwali Vimlesh Kumar reached the spot with the police team. They identified the youth and informed the family members. As soon as the information was received, the family members also reached the spot. During this time, the police took the body of the deceased into custody and sent it for post-mortem.

The body has been sent for post-mortem

The deceased’s cousin Devendra said that Dev Singh used to work 24 hours a day at a petrol pump. He rarely came home. He reached home on Thursday. There he had an argument with his wife and other family members. After this, he left the house without informing anyone. He committed suicide.

Devendra told that he was married to Kalpana, a resident of Patti Kumharra village of Jhansi district, 2 years ago. He also has a 6-month-old innocent daughter. Regarding this incident, Inspector-in-charge of Et Kotwali, Vimlesh Kumar said that the youth committed suicide due to domestic discord. At present, the incident is being investigated. The body has been sent for post-mortem.
