Preparations for the Jagannath Rath Yatra, one of the Lakhha fairs of Varanasi, have been completed. The organizing committee has prepared the chariot and started preparations for the worship, while the police administration is also busy in preparations. Officials have finalized the route for the Jagannath Yatra to be held in Kashi zone.

Entry of big or heavy vehicles from outside the city will be prohibited and some routes have been categorized as no vehicle zone. The diversion system will be in place from 4 pm to 3 am every day. This route will be restricted for the entry of heavy vehicles, trucks etc. throughout the day, ambulances and hearse vehicles will be exempted from this restriction.
Diversion will continue on these routes
- Vehicles going towards Rathyatra from Mahmoorganj intersection will be diverted towards Sigra from Akashvani Tiraha.
- Cars, autos, e-rickshaws, motorcycles, pedal rickshaws and vehicles will be parked in the parking lot near Sigra crossing, Akashvani, Neemamai intersection.
- Vehicles coming from BHU Bhelupar towards Rathyatra will be diverted from Kamchha towards Sai Temple. They will go via Akashwani to Mahmoorganj.
- All vehicles going from Laxmi towards Rathyatra will be diverted from Gurubagh Tiraha towards Neema Mai Tiraha. They will go via Kamchha Tiraha.
- All vehicles going from Sigra towards Rathyatra will be diverted from Sigra crossing towards Mahmoorganj and Sonia police post.
Complete ban on heavy vehicles
- There will be a complete ban on all types of vehicles coming from Manduadih from Akashvani Tiraha to Rathyatra Square. There will be a ban on heavy vehicles going from Sigra Square to Rathyatra.
- To reach Sigra, one can reach Sigra via Mohansarai Rohaniya, Chandpur, Lahartara, Dharamshala, Englishia Line, Maldahiya.
- Vehicles (trucks etc.) will have to go from Sigra area via Harhua or Babatpur. For this, one can go to the destination via Sigra, Maldahiya, Chowkaghat, Tadikhana Police Line Square, Bhojubir, Gilat Bazaar, Tarna, Harhua.
- Heavy vehicles which have to come to Manduadih can come via Mohansarai, Rohaniya, Chandpur Mudhaila after the no-entry is lifted.
