Ghaziabad Municipal Corporation has started rain water harvesting at 115 places this monsoon. So that the level of ground water can be increased. Mayor Sunita Dayal has held a meeting with the officials of Jalkal.

The mayor said that the ground water level will increase due to rain water harvesting. The mayor has also appealed to the public to cooperate in this. The mayor said that Ghaziabad Municipal Corporation is working on rain water harvesting at some places and pond work at other places to maintain the water level of the city.

List of 115 rain water harvesting schemes given to councillors
In the meeting, the mayor discussed about 115 rain water harvesting plants in the municipal corporation area. Out of which 26 are installed in Vasundhara zone, 19 in Mohan Nagar zone, 26 in Kavi Nagar zone, 23 in Vijay Nagar zone and 21 in City zone. Mayor Sunita Dayal has given the list to all the councillors through WhatsApp.
Along with this, everyone has been asked to inspect rain water harvesting. All the water officials have also been given instructions in the meeting. He said- If the councillor shows reluctance in making rain water harvesting smooth, action should be taken against him.
