Uttar Pradesh Cement Trade Association has sent a letter to the Chief Minister and Finance Minister demanding abolition of TDS and TCS.

In the letter, the officials of the trade union said that instead of simplifying GST, the government has made it so complicated that the businessman is now becoming a clerk because of it.
State President of Uttar Pradesh Cement Vyapar Sangh Shyam Murti Gupta and General Secretary Manish Modi and Senior Vice President Deepak Singhal have written a letter to the CM. They have said that on one hand the trader has become a clerk due to the paperwork of GST, on the other hand he is facing harassment due to TDS and TCS.
President Shyam Murti Gupta said that GST officers are ruining the government’s claim of providing a simple business environment to traders. Traders’ business is getting ruined due to the complicated rules of GST.
General Secretary Manish Modi said that traders have to pay huge penalties for small mistakes in tax matters. The office bearers of the trade union have also submitted a letter to Rajya Sabha MP Dr. Ashok Bajpai.
