In Lucknow’s Banthra area, a young man eloped with a girl on Friday night. In this case, the girl’s mother lodged a report in the Banthra police station. According to the woman, the young man named Azad Gautam used to visit his maternal uncle Roshan who lives in the village.

The woman says that her 23-year-old daughter and the young man used to talk to each other. On Friday night at 2:30, Azad Gautam took her daughter with him somewhere. The woman says that after getting the information, when an attempt was made to contact them on the phone, her daughter and Azad Gautam’s mobile was found switched off. Currently, on the basis of the woman’s complaint, Banthra police has registered a report and is trying to trace both of them.
Banthra police station in-charge Hemant Raghav says that the girl has been recovered by evening. During interrogation, the girl has admitted that she was upset and hence ran away from home.
