Sonakshi Sinha REACTS for 1st Time to Wedding With Zaheer Iqbal Amid Trolling: ‘It’s Never Been…’ – News18
Sonakshi Sinha and Zaheer Iqbal’s civil marriage took place on June 23 at her Bandra home.
Sonakshi Sinha opened up about her life after she married her long-term boyfriend Zaheer Iqbal.
Sonakshi Sinha tied the knot with her long-term beau Zaheer Iqbal on June 23. The couple got married in an intimate ceremony at her residence in Bandra. Sonakshi and Zaheer opted for a civil marriage followed by a grand reception. While their wedding festivities were a happy affair, they were also subjected to heavy trolling. Now, Sonakshi has reacted to her wedding for the first time and said that her life has never been better.
Speaking to Zoom TV about life after marriage, Sonakshi said, “It’s never been better.” She added, “The beauty of it is that I am feeling pretty much the same. I am happy that my life was so set before the wedding, and I am back at it. I am very happy to be back at work.”
Although the actress is enjoying marital bliss, Sonakshi Sinha has been subjected to immense trolling over her inter-faith marriage with Zaheer Iqbal. Unfortunately, the couple also had to disable the comments section while sharing their official photos from their civil marriage and reception due to unwarranted hate and negativity.
Amid the trolling, Sonakshi recently shared a cryptic note on Instagram which emphasised how one should become a tolerant human being. The posts shared by Sonakshi read, “How to know when to keep voice down or completely shut (Airplanes, movie theatres). How to know when you don’t get what you want. To instil a deep concern for the environment. To live and let live, literally and metaphorically.”
The post also read, “The utter and total importance of kindness and inclusiveness in a rapidly insular world. To know that contrary opinions to yours can exist, and they do. And to be a more tolerant young human being.” The post was originally shared with the title “Things they should teach in school.”
Previously, veteran actor-turned-politician Shatrughan Sinha also lashed out at those protesting against his daughter Sonakshi’s inter-faith wedding with Zaheer Iqbal and calling it “love jihad”.
“Anand Bakshi saab has written about such professional protestors, ‘Kucch to log kahenge, logon ka kaam hai kehna. To this I would like to add, ‘Kehne waale agar bekar, bekaam-kaaj ke ho to kehna hi kaam ban jata hai (For unemployed people, this is all the work they have).’ My daughter has done nothing illegal or unconstitutional,” he told Times Now.
“A wedding is a very personal decision between two people; no one has the right to interfere or comment. To all the protestors I say – go, get a life. Do something useful with your life. Aur kucch nahi kehna (I have nothing else to say),” the veteran actor added.
