In Amroha, on Saturday night at 11 o’clock, angry with the love marriage of their daughter, her family members entered the lover’s house and started firing indiscriminately. The accused fired more than 24 rounds. Due to which panic spread in the village. Many people were shot in this incident. They were admitted to the hospital.

The family of Bijendra Saini (46), son of Lallu Singh, lives in the village of Manalgpura in the Dhanaura police station area of Amroha. He is a farmer by profession. His son Arjun is also a farmer. Arjun, the cousin, had a love marriage with Vandana, the daughter of Dinesh Chauhan, a resident of Sihali village in Muzaffarnagar district, 3 months ago.

Court marriage was done without the consent of the family
Vandana had done a court marriage without the consent of her family. Both of them used to work together at some place in Deval village across the Ganga. During this time Arjun and Vandana had a love affair. Immediately after the marriage, Vandana’s family members were threatening her, Bijendra Saini and Arjun.

Came in a car, fired more than 24 rounds
On Saturday night around 11 o’clock, Vandana’s father Dinesh Chauhan reached Bijendra’s house in a car along with 4 people. During this time the accused fired more than 24 rounds. The continuous firing spread panic in the village. They tried to forcibly take Vandana with them. When the lover’s father Bijendra resisted, they shot him in the stomach. He died on the spot. As soon as the bullet was fired, Vandana ran and entered a neighbor’s house.

During this, Chhatrapal Saini, a villager who was roaming outside Bijendra’s house, was shot in the stomach. He fell down injured. When the villagers raised an alarm, the attackers fled in a car.

On the other hand, the family members took the injured to CHC. After treatment, seriously injured Chhatrapal Singh was referred to a higher center. The information of the incident created a stir in the police department. On the other hand, Circle CO Shwetaabh Bhaskar reached CHC with the police station and inquired about the incident from the family members. At present, the police filled the Panchnama of the dead body and sent it for postmortem.

There were constant threats
Lover Arjun told that I had a court marriage with Vandana of Muzaffarnagar. We were in love for 2 years. We wanted to get married. But Vandana’s family was not agreeing for the marriage. After that, without their consent, I eloped with the girl three months ago and got married in court.

The girl’s family was angry with this. They were constantly threatening us. We had also complained to the police. But nothing happened. Every day threats were being made over the phone. We were very scared. After that this incident happened last night. I ran away from home, otherwise they would have killed us too.

Police alert regarding arrest of accused
On the other hand, Circle CO Swetaabh Bhaskar said that police teams have started to nab the accused of firing in the village. The accused will be caught soon. Police stations of the bordering districts have also been alerted to nab the accused of the incident.
