In Unnao, the 29th Rath Yatra was taken out from the Deeneshwar temple in Adarshnagar on behalf of the public Shri Shri Jagannath Rath Yatra Committee. The procession was taken out with the beautiful and grand tableaus of the artists of Vrindavan Dham glittering with modern dazzling colourful lights.

The Sadar MLA, along with the devotees, pulled the chariot with a rope and depicted the scene of the Puri Yatra. The people’s representatives and colleagues were welcomed during the entire journey and the process of Aarti and worship etc. was carried out. The scenes of the Yatra taken out with Mahila Mandals were made grand and devotional. The Yatra continued till late night amidst drizzling rain.
During the yatra in Unnao, the chariot was decorated with Indian and foreign flowers by the famous artisans and artists of Vrindavan. Wherever the chariot passed, devotees were seen thronging for aarti and worship. People were overwhelmed by watching the peacock dance and the emotional dance of peacock and peahen on big trucks. The artists made the Rath Yatra attractive by playing Laddu Holi.
When the Yatra reached Sabzi Mandi, people were delighted to see the colourful fireworks. Dancing groups of many groups were presented in different costumes and with amazing charm. At the resting place of the Yatra, devotees enjoyed the divine pleasure of collective Aarti with 11 lamps each by 108 devotees.
Chairman Ram Prakash Chaurasia and General Secretary Vijay Gupta took the Yatra forward by distributing prasad to the visitors from a specially prepared huge chariot. After the inauguration of the Yatra, Aarti and worship were performed in front of the wonderful, beautiful and lifelike idols of Lord Jagannath, Balram and Subhadra.
