Vishungarh police station in-charge of Kannauj arrived in plain clothes to raid the canteen. Seeing him enter, the BJP leader asked him a question. This infuriated the police station in-charge. He abused him and beat him up. Due to which he got injured and his nose bone broke. There was a lot of uproar regarding the matter.

When information was received about sale of liquor in a canteen operated near a liquor shop in Vishungarh town, SHO Devesh Kumar reached the canteen in plain clothes to raid it. BJP booth president Nilesh Kumar Dwivedi alias Neelu, who was present there, interrupted the SO who was searching the canteen in plain clothes, and he got furious. He abused and kicked and punched the BJP leader. Due to this, he got injured and fell on the ground. BJP leader Neelu’s brother Sudhir informed the regional MLA Archana Pandey about the incident.

In a short while, MLA Archana Pandey reached Vishungarh. She complained about the matter to SP Amit Kumar Anand over the phone and then got the injured admitted to the government hospital in Chhibramau. On the other hand, the SP sent CO Chhibramau Omkar Nath Sharma to Vishungarh to investigate the matter. After this, on Monday, the SP suspended the police station in-charge Devesh Kumar.

In his place, Bahwalpur outpost in-charge Vinod Kumar Kashyap has been given charge of Vishungarh police station. Regarding this matter, CO City Kamlesh Kumar said that Vishungarh SHO had misbehaved with a youth during checking. Taking cognizance of which, the Superintendent of Police put him on line duty. Investigation is being done by Chhibramau CO. Further action will be taken on the basis of investigation.
