During checking at Chaudhary Charan Singh International Airport in Lucknow’s Amausi on Tuesday, a live cartridge of .22 bore and five shells were found in a passenger’s possession. The passenger said that after attending a wedding ceremony, it was accidentally left in his coat pocket.

According to the information, Varun Kumar Gupta, a resident of Civil Line Kotwali area of ​​Kanpur city, was going to attend a wedding function in Prayagraj. On Tuesday afternoon at around 1:30 pm, he reached Lucknow Chaudhary Charan Singh Airport to go to Prayagraj by charter plane. During screening at the airport, a live cartridge of .22 bore and five shells were found in his bag. After this, the security personnel present there asked for his license. Then after interrogation, he was handed over to Sarojininagar police.

When the police questioned Varun, he said that he had mistakenly brought the cartridges and shells in his coat pocket. He was asked for his arms license. He showed it. After this, the police confiscated the cartridges and shells and released Varun. Varun left for Prayagraj in his charter plane.
