Bareilly jail kept meeting Ashraf, was in touch with the shooters
Vijay Mishra, a resident of Kakara village of Saraiinaayat, lived with his family on Bailey Road in the city.
After the Umesh Pal murder case, he was in touch with the absconding shooters and Atiq’s family members. The police team was conducting raids in search of Ashraf’s wife and shooters who were absconding in this case. During this time Vijay Mishra was caught. The same sections were imposed on Vijay Mishra as were imposed on the shooters, conspirators and helpers in the Umesh Pal murder case.
The police have also filed a chargesheet against him in the Umesh Pal murder case. Vijay Mishra is married to a Muslim girl. During the investigation, the police came to know that he had talked to Ashraf several times four days before the murder of Umesh Pal. Before the Umesh Pal murder, Vijay Mishra was constantly in touch with Ashraf who was lodged in Bareilly jail.
3 crore extortion money was demanded from the businessman
A case was also registered against Vijay Mishra for demanding extortion money of Rs 3 crore from a businessman. The businessman from Dariyabad had alleged that Vijay Mishra was demanding Rs 3 crore from him by threatening him. In this case, a case was registered under serious sections in Atrasuiya police station.
