The stand operator was killed due to police negligence: Even after the complaint, the police did not take any action, Naubasta SHO removed, three police personnel including the outpost in-charge suspended

The Police Commissioner has taken a big action in the case of murder of the stand operator by shooting him in broad daylight in the middle of the intersection on Kanpur Naubasta bypass. Naubasta Inspector Jagdish Pandey was removed for negligence, while Basant Vihar outpost in-charge, light in-charge, beat police officer (constable) were suspended with immediate effect. This action has been taken on the investigation report of ACP Naubasta. A complaint was made at the outpost regarding the dispute regarding the collection of the stand. Even after this, the police did not take any cognizance and the stand operator was murdered. The negligence of the police personnel came to light in the investigation report of the ACP. Harikaran Singh (58), a resident of Hanumant Vihar, was shot dead after a dispute over the operation of an illegal stand on the Naubasta intersection on the morning of July 5. The police arrested the murderer Saurabh Sachan, a resident of Reuna police station area, in an encounter on the same evening. It was revealed that Saurabh Sachan and Harikaran used to extort money from vehicles by setting up illegal stands in front of the police. A part of this also went to the police. There was a dispute between Harikiran and Saurabh regarding extortion. After this, there was a fierce fight between the two. The complaint of the case also reached the police, but no action was taken. Due to this, Saurabh committed a heinous murder after the quarrel and shot Harikiran dead in the middle of the intersection. DCP South Ravindra Kumar said that the negligence of the police has been revealed in the investigation report of ACP Naubasta. Due to this, Naubasta police station in-charge Jagdish Pandey was removed with immediate effect. At the same time, the negligent outpost in-charge Basant Bihar Chhatrapal Singh, Halka in-charge Inspector Satyendra Singh and Beat Head Constable Awadhesh Kumar were suspended. If action had been taken in time, the murder would not have happened. If we believe the investigation report of ACP Naubasta Manjay Singh, if the police had taken action in the case in time, then perhaps this murder case would not have happened. Even after the complaint, the outpost in-charge and other responsible police personnel did not take any action. Due to this, Saurabh Sachan’s feeling of revenge increased and he shot and killed the stand operator Harikiran.
