Lucknow Police has arrested seven clever thieves of a gang that used to steal by spying on empty houses in the city. Police has recovered stolen jewellery, a bike and two iron crowbars from them. After the arrest of all these, two more robbers were arrested in Sarojininagar and Bijnor police stations.

DCP South Tej Swaroop Singh has announced a reward of twenty-five thousand rupees to the police team that caught the thieves. DCP South Tej Swaroop Singh, in the presence of ACP Krishnanagar Vinay Kumar Dwivedi, said in a press conference at the South office that recently, three teams including the local police station were formed to search for the thieves by registering a case in the incidents of thefts happening continuously in Sarojini Nagar and Bijnor police station areas.
The police arrested these thieves
The police team was continuously trying to catch the thieves. During this, seven thieves were caught from a ruined house near the airport on Tuesday evening. During interrogation, the youths told their names as Shariq, Mustaq Ansari alias Gogo, Irfan, Aftab Ansari alias Rizwan, Jaane Alam, Chand Babu, Aashiq Ali resident of Nooruddin Chak police station Dargah, district Bahraich.
Aftab is the main leader of the gang
All of them are residents of the same village. The DCP said that the main leader of the gang is Aftab. When asked for the papers of the bike recovered from them, they could not show the papers of the bike. On being questioned, they confessed to stealing the bike from Unnao district.
