Road will be built from Vijay Nagar to Mariampur
To strengthen the infrastructure of the city, 11 roads were included in the action plan for repair and renovation of city and rural areas in the financial year 2023-24.

These included the repair of the Saadh-Sarsual road to Bambi Khwajimpur road of the PWD provincial section, construction of the Chobepur Bela road, Lucknow-Jhansi road, Asenia, Bahour Umri connecting road, Vijay Nagar crossing to Maryampur crossing, Pukhrayan-Ghatampur-Bindki, Sarsaul-Saibsi Maharajpur, Chandanpur Bhitargaon, Dharampur Bamba road.

After the rain, potholes have formed at many places on the roads.

Kisan Nagar Road will be repaired
In construction block two, general repair and renovation work was to be done on the Bidhanu to Kisan Nagar road. The funds were released as soon as the proposal was approved by the government. After which the construction was started. On Wednesday, the government released Rs 8.51 crore for the repair and renovation of 11 roads of the city.

60.66 lakh will be spent on the number nine crossing road
According to the superintending engineer, the road from Gumti No. 9 crossing on GT Road to the NH-2 highway via Salt Factory, Vijay Nagar Square, Dada Nagar Bridge will be constructed at a cost of 60.66 lakhs. While the road from Kidwai Nagar Square to Site No. 1, Baradevi via Nandlal Square will be repaired at a cost of 6.29 lakhs.

11 roads will be constructed
PWD Superintending Engineer Anil Kumar said that repair and renovation work was being done on 11 roads in the last financial year by the units of the Provincial Section and Construction Section. In the financial year 2024-25, an amount of Rs 11.18 crore has been provided by the government for Kanpur division including the city.
