England defeated Netherlands 2-1 in the second semi-final of the Euro Cup played at BVB Stadium in Dortmund, Germany. It reached the final of the tournament for the second consecutive time.

At the same time, England has reached the final of a major tournament held outside the country for the first time. Earlier, it had reached the final of the World Cup held in England in 1966 and the Euro Cup played in England in 2020.

After this goal, a different energy was infused in the England team and till the half time game ended, they created many chances to score goals.

By the 25th minute of the match, England created four chances and had 65.8 percent possession of the ball. In the 38th minute, they again came close to scoring a goal. England’s young player Phil Foden took a powerful shot from the left, but the Netherlands goalkeeper not only stopped the ball but also prevented England from taking the lead.

Both teams made changes at the start of the second half. The Netherlands took out Donyell Malen and replaced him with Woth Weghorst, while England brought in Luke Shaw to replace Kieran Trippier.

At the same time, 20 minutes before the end of the second half, England called out first half stars Harry Kane and Phil Foden and replaced them with Ollie Watkins and Cole Palmer. England’s decision proved to be correct when in the added time of the match, Ollie Watkins scored a goal to give the team a 2-1 lead and take them to the final.
