England in the Euro Cup final for the second consecutive time: beat Netherlands 2-1; in the final of a major tournament held abroad for the first time

England defeated Netherlands 2-1 in the second semi-final of the Euro Cup played at BVB Stadium in Dortmund, Germany. It reached the final of the tournament for the second consecutive time.

At the same time, England has reached the final of a major tournament held outside the country for the first time. Earlier, it had reached the final of the World Cup held in England in 1966 and the Euro Cup played in England in 2020.
