All the teachers submitted a memorandum in the name of the Chief Minister to the City Magistrate in the DM office at the Collectorate Gate. In which the teachers protested against the order of online attendance. The Education Department implemented the order of online attendance in a hasty and oppressive manner on July 8 instead of July 15. In protest against this, on Thursday, the organization staged a sit-in at the district headquarters on the call of the state leadership and submitted a memorandum.

Teachers put forward different demands

Teachers demanded that like other departments, basic teachers should also be given 15 CL, 15 half day leaves and 30 EL leaves in the category of casual leave. Secondly, teachers should be given cashless medical leave without premium. Also, transfer and promotion should be done on time. Along with solving the salary discrepancy problem in council schools, clerks and fourth class employees should be appointed in every school.

The next demand is that teachers should be freed from non-teaching work. The pay of instructors should be increased. Transfers within the district should be made effective soon. The salary of Shikshamitras who have passed Intermediate should be made Rs. 30,000 and until promotion, the in-charge teachers should be given the pay scale of a Principal. Also, the promotion of teachers should be done soon.
