Special Judge Gangster Act Pushkar Upadhyay has passed an order to issue a non-bailable warrant against Subhaspa MLA Bediram and Nishad Party MLA Vipul Dubey, the masterminds of the paper leak and recruitment scam. In this case, Bediram along with 18 other co-accused are also accused.

Bediram is the MLA from Jakhania seat of Ghazipur and Vipul Dubey is the MLA from Gyanpur seat of Bhadohi.

According to the prosecution, on February 25, 2006, the STF discovered that the question paper of the Railway Group-D examination to be held the next day had been leaked.

The STF team investigating the case raided a house in Alambagh the next day and arrested Bediram and his other associates red handed along with the question paper. Bediram’s cousin Deendayal alias Dina and another accused managed to escape from the spot. A case has been registered by the STF against all the accused in the case.

A case was registered under the Gangster Act in Krishnanagar police station. According to Gangster Act Special Advocate Laxman Prasad Dixit, Krishnanagar police station filed a chargesheet against a total of 19 accused. The court rejected the application filed by accused MLA Bediram, Deendayal, Shiv Bahadur Singh, Sanjay Srivastava and Awadhesh Singh and issued a non-bailable warrant.

Non-bailable warrants have also been issued against the absconding accused. Inspector Stay Krishnanagar has been ordered to ensure the presence of all the accused on 26th July.
