After the Lok Sabha elections, the railways have increased the speed of construction work including doubling, expansion and electrification. Gauge conversion work of Akola-Ratlam section of Varanasi division of Northeast Railway and yard remodeling of Khandwa station will be done pre-non interlocking and non interlocking. Apart from this, trains have been cancelled due to inspection by Railway Safety Commissioner.
According to NER PRO Ashok Kumar, many trains running between Varanasi, Gorakhpur and Dadar Mumbai have been cancelled. Many trains have been short terminated/short originated. In such a situation, passengers are advised to book only after checking the schedule.
These trains of NER will remain canceled
- 01027 Dadar-Gorakhpur Express from Dadar on 14, 16, 18, 20 and 21 July
- 01025 Dadar-Ballia will remain cancelled from Dadar on 17, 19, 20 and 22 July.
- 01026 Ballia-Dadar Express cancelled from Ballia on 19, 21 and 24 July
- 01028 Gorakhpur-Dadar from Gorakhpur on 16, 18, 20, 22 and 23 July
Route of these trains passing through Banaras changed
– The cancellation of 12168 Banaras-Lokmanya Tilak Terminus Express from Banaras from 16 to 21 July has been restored. This train will run on the diverted route via Itarsi-Bhopal-Ratlam-Vadodara-Surat-Vasai Road and on the scheduled route on 22 and 23 July. There will be no stoppage at Rani Kamlapati, Itarsi, Harda, Khandwa, Bhusaval, Nashik Road and Kalyan stations.
– The cancellation of 12167 Lokmanya Tilak Terminus-Banaras from 15 to 21 July from Lokmanya Tilak Terminus has been restored. This train will run on the diverted route via Vasai Road-Surat-Vadodara-Ratlam-Bhopal-Itarsi and on the scheduled route on 14 July. There will be no stoppage at Kalyan, Nashik Road, Bhusaval, Khandwa, Harda, Itarsi and Rani Kamlapati stations.
These trains were rescheduled-
– On 22nd July, 11061 Lokmanya Tilak Terminus-Jayanagar will be rescheduled by 1 hour from Lokmanya Tilak Terminus and will run at 12.30 pm instead of 11.30 am. – On 22nd July, 15182 Lokmanya Tilak Terminus-Mau Express will be rescheduled by 02 hours from Lokmanya Tilak Terminus and will run at 13.10 pm instead of 11.10 am.
Trains will not stop at Prayagraj Rambagh station due to work
Northeast Railway Public Relations Officer Ashok Kumar said that the railway administration has started work on line number 4 and 6 of Prayagraj Rambagh station for operational ease. For this, a mega block has been taken for 45 days from 23 June to 5 August. Now during the block, the engineering team of the railway will work and the stoppage of many trains at Prayagraj Rambagh station will remain canceled till 05 August.
