In Lalitpur, as soon as the electricity connection was cut, the consumer got a heart attack and fell on the ground. Due to which he died. This created chaos. The family members said that the JE cut the connection saying that there was a pending amount of Rs 77 thousand. After this, he threatened to send him to jail.

Alauddin, a resident of this place, was at his home on Friday. Meanwhile, the junior engineer of the electricity department along with his team and policemen reached his house and asked him to show the electricity bill. His wife Afsana brought the bill; the team asked him to pay the outstanding bill of Rs 77,000, but as he did not have the money, Alauddin said he would pay the bill later. On this matter, the junior engineer and workers of the electricity department rebuked him, threatened him and said that he would be sent to jail. Due to this, Alauddin got scared; when he did not pay the bill, the team moved ahead by cutting his connection.
He was taken to the hospital with the help of a neighbor
Soon Alauddin’s condition worsened and he fainted. His wife screamed for help. With the help of a neighbour, he was brought to the district hospital in an unconscious state for treatment, where doctors declared him dead.

Alauddin has one daughter and two sons. The elder son works in Mumbai. Alauddin used to work at a jeweler’s shop to run the family. After this incident, there is chaos in the family. Wife Afsana has said that her husband died due to scolding by the junior engineer and employees of the electricity department.
