Even after the Pradhan was accused of scam of lakhs of rupees in Bengali Patti of Kushinagar, the officials did not come to investigate. On the other hand, they are busy defending him. Due to which no one reached the spot even after 15 days of giving the complaint letter, which has become a topic of discussion.

Ward No. 3 member Bihari Kushwaha, a resident of Bengali Patti, and Ward No. 11 member representative Rajeev Nanda complained against the current Pradhan. Alleging various corruptions, they gave a written complaint letter to District Magistrate Kushinagar Umesh Mishra on 26th June and demanded action. Instead of giving houses to eligible people, houses were given to ineligible people. Those who already have permanent houses built, they too were given houses and the government money was misappropriated. Under the Swachh Bharat Yojana, government money was misappropriated. Ineligible people were also given the benefit of toilets.
Villagers will give complaint letter to DM again
The District Magistrate took cognizance of the complaint letter and gave the responsibility of investigating it to the Project Director. But even after almost 15 days, the absence of any responsible officer for investigation raises many questions in itself. However, if sources are to be believed, the Gram Pradhan is also an officer of a cell of the ruling party and is said to have a good influence among the white collar people. The complainant has said that he will give the complaint letter to the DM again.
Reminder letter sent
Chief Development Officer Gunjan Dwivedi said that as soon as the information about the investigation not being done was received, a reminder letter has been sent again to complete the investigation. So that the investigation can be done seriously. Also, the two nominated nodal officers have been directed to record the statement of both the complainant and the village head during the investigation. Although the DM had also directed this earlier, but due to some reason the investigation could not be completed.

The nominated nodal officer, District Project Officer, said that the investigation could not be done due to heavy rains. A reminder letter has been received. An impartial investigation will be done soon and the report will be sent to the higher authorities.
