In Dibiyapur town of Auraiya, bulldozers started roaring on the houses and shops built on the land of the irrigation department since morning. The announcement was made on Friday and the bulldozers started roaring from Saturday. People kept asking for time but the officers did not agree and used more than half a dozen bulldozers to demolish the houses and shops.

On Friday, in the presence of police and administration, the Irrigation Department officials made an announcement to free the department’s government land from encroachment. An order was issued to demolish a total of 45 houses and shops that were marked earlier. The land of the Irrigation Department and PWD in Dibiyapur town has to be freed from encroachment. For this, at the end of February, the Irrigation Department and PWD had separately pasted notices on 639 shops and houses in Dibiyapur. People were asked to remove the encroachment and debris.
The bridge is 166 years old
In this connection, the irrigation department along with the town police administration made an announcement on Friday. In this, a warning was given to demolish 45 houses and shops marked on the eastern side of the canal bridge with a bulldozer on Saturday. A canal bridge is to be constructed here. The old bridge is 166 years old.
Shopkeepers and house owners kept visiting the officers till Friday night. As soon as Saturday morning arrived, more than half a dozen bulldozers arrived with heavy force. Houses and shops started being demolished. This action has created a stir.
