CBI gave affidavit late in NEET case: Registry could not be filed; Justice Pardiwala said- we have seen the reply

The Supreme Court Registry has accepted the affidavit of the CBI in the NEET case. In fact, in the NEET case, the Supreme Court had sought a report from all the stakeholders related to the exam by 5 pm on July 10.
According to the Bar and Bench report, the CBI had submitted the affidavit in the court on July 11. The registry had said that after the delay in the stipulated time, discuss with the court about submitting the affidavit.
However, Justice JB Pardiwala of the bench said that he was aware of the submission of the CBI report.
Next hearing of NEET case on July 18
The next hearing on 38 petitions regarding irregularities in the NEET case will now be held on July 18. The Chief Justice’s bench said that the Center and NTA have filed their affidavits in response to the court’s July 8 order. However, the bench has found that some petitioners have not yet received the affidavits of the Center and NTA.
CBI had arrested two accused with the same name
On July 12, Delhi’s Rouse Avenue Court granted bail to Gangadhar Gunde, accused in the NEET paper leak case. The court said that the CBI had arrested Gangadhar on the basis of mistaken identity.
Due to the exact same name, the CBI arrested Gangadhar Gunde from Dehradun on June 30 instead of N Gangadhar Appa. At the same time, a case was registered against N Gangadhar Appa from Latur in Maharashtra in the NEET paper leak case. He was arrested in Bengaluru.

CBI investigation has revealed that candidates from Odisha, Bihar, Maharashtra, Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh had appeared for the exam at a centre in Godhra, Gujarat. The accused had asked the candidates to select Gujarati language for the exam.

CBI is considering Jharkhand as the center of NEET paper leak
According to the report of Dainik Bhaskar, CBI has considered Jharkhand as the centre of NEET paper leak. CBI has asked the Jharkhand government to transfer those two cases to CBI which were registered in two different police stations of Ranchi on the day of the exam. The case is related to Awadhesh Kumar, a resident of Arsande, Ranchi.
Awadhesh had signed two blank cheques in the name of Sikandar, an accused in the paper leak case, for his son Abhishek. Currently, Awadhesh Kumar is in custody. Read full news
The Supreme Court had sought answers from NEET stakeholders
Stakeholders filed an affidavit in the Supreme Court on the NEET dispute late in the evening of July 10. The court had sought a report from the four stakeholders related to the NEET dispute – NTA, CBI, Central Government and the petitioners demanding retest.
The Supreme Court is hearing 38 petitions
38 petitions have been filed in the Supreme Court regarding the irregularities in NEET-UG. Out of these, 34 petitions have been filed by students, teachers and coaching institutes, while 4 petitions have been filed by the National Testing Agency (NTA).
A petition was filed to investigate the paper leak 8 days after the exam
NEET candidate Shivangi Mishra filed a petition in the Supreme Court on May 13 to investigate the paper leak. After this, NTA announced the result of the exam on June 4, 10 days before the scheduled date.
