There was a stir in Pilibhit when the body of a woman who was missing from her home was found on the banks of a river. After receiving the information, the police reached the spot and took the body of the woman in their custody and sent it for postmortem. On Sunday, a woman’s body was found lying near a culvert in the Khandeli river flowing near Haiderganj in Jehanabad police station area. After getting the information, the police reached the spot and took out the body, which was in a very bad condition. The body was identified as 24-year-old Chandni, wife of Nagendra. After getting the information, the people of the woman’s maternal side also reached the spot. The family members accused the people of the in-laws’ side of killing the daughter and throwing the body.
Father-in-law had filed a missing person case
Chandni’s father-in-law, Bhup Ram, a resident of Haiderganj, had lodged a missing complaint of Chandni on July 12. After which the police was investigating the case. Jehanabad police station in-charge Sanjeev Kumar Shukla says that the woman’s body has been sent for postmortem. No complaint has been received yet.
