The employees who were going to Kolkata with the payment of a Varanasi bullion trader stole his Rs. 42.50 lakh. After that, they called the bullion trader and told him the story of the police seizing the cash. Both of them told different events on the phone, so the trader inquired with the police.

He said that he had the documents of the money for buying gold with him, but the police refused to take any such action. Considering both the employees as accused in the case, the businessman gave a written complaint, on which the police have registered a case and are interrogating both the employees.

Jaipal Kumar, a resident of Neechibagh Kudakhana Gali of Chowk police station area, is a wholesale gold trader. His gold jewellery is purchased from many cities including Kolkata and Delhi. On the night of June 26, his employees Avinash and Dhananjay were going to Kolkata by bus from Bhullanpur with Rs 93 lakh of his firm.

According to both the employees, when the bus reached the highway, one person in police uniform and two persons in plain clothes boarded the bus. All three introduced themselves as police from the crime team of Syedraja police station of Chandauli district. After this, all three took Avinash and Dhananjay down with the bags and made them sit in a car without a number plate. After talking for some time, Avinash’s mobile got switched off.

The employee informed the owner about the missing money

Avinash Gupta and Dhananjay Yadav informed the owner about the missing of Rs. 42.5 lakh at midnight. Jaipal Kumar said that his employee Avinash called from another mobile number at around 1.30 am.

Jaipal Kumar reached the place mentioned by Avinash, Banaras Dhaba at Katariya border. Avinash told Jaipal Kumar that the policemen had left behind Rs 50 lakh 50 thousand. He had taken Rs 42 lakh 50 thousand with him. Jaipal Kumar questioned the bus driver and conductor about the place mentioned by Avinash and Dhananjay. When there was a difference in the place of incident, Jaipal Kumar suspected his own employees.

Jaipal Kumar said that he was confused about the place of incident and he investigated the incident on his own. When he was completely convinced that Avinash Gupta and Dhananjay Yadav had stolen his Rs 42.50 lakh, he filed a complaint in Ramnagar police station.

Ramnagar police station in-charge Jagdish Kushwaha said that a case has been registered on the complaint of Jaipal Kumar. The complaint was given several days after the incident, however, in the investigation so far, the place of incident turned out to be Chandarkha of Chandauli district. Therefore, the case has been transferred to the police of Chandauli district.
