‘Mom Was Watching Over Dad’: Ivanka Trump After Her Father Survives Assassination Bid – News18

“I miss her every day and pray for the safety of the family and friends she left behind,” Ivanka wrote on X

Hours after an assassination attempt on former President Donald Trump, his daughter, Ivanka Trump took to her social media account and said expressed that her late mother was surely ‘watching over’ her Dad ‘last night during the attempt on his life’.

Taking to X, Ivanka said, “Two years ago today, my mom passed away. I believe she was watching over Dad last night during the attempt on his life.”

“I miss her every day and pray for the safety of the family and friends she left behind,” she added.

Earlier in the day, she expressed her gratitude for all the love and prayers for her father and for the other victims who either lost their life or was injured in the assassination against Donald Trump.

She said, “I am grateful to the Secret Service and all the other law enforcement officers for their quick and decisive actions today. I continue to pray for our country. I love you Dad, today and always.”

The former US President was “shot with a bullet that pierced his ear” in an attempted assassination on Saturday. The 78-year-old was evacuated from the stage of a rally in Pennsylvania after gunfire.

US security agencies have identified 20-year-old Thomas Matthew Crooks of Bethel Park, Pennsylvania as the suspect in the attempted assassination of former US President Donald Trump.

The suspect was shot and killed by the Secret Service seconds after he allegedly fired shots toward a stage where Trump was speaking in Butler, Pennsylvania.
