Kanpur Colonelganj police station’s Chunniganj bus stand outpost in-charge was suspended for beating up a Bajrang Dal worker. When a Bajrang Dal worker roaming around on a scooter was questioned late at night, he got a wrong answer. This irritated the outpost in-charge and he beat up the Bajrang Dal worker.

Outpost incharge beat up a man for misbehaving, commissioner suspended him from duty
Prince Sonkar has a tea stall near Chunniganj bus stand and he is also a Bajrang Dal worker. Late on Saturday night, outpost in-charge Nitin Punia and constable were checking suspicious vehicles. During this, seeing the crowd at Prince’s shop, they protested and asked him to close the shop. After this, Prince, his friend Mayank and Guddan protested against it.
It is alleged that outpost in-charge Nitin Punia, enraged by the misbehavior, beat Prince and took him to the police station. On receiving the information about the worker being beaten, dozens of workers including Mahanagar Pramukh Krishna Tiwari, Naveen Singh, Ankit Maurya, Harshit Srivastava, Sonu and Nawab reached the police station and created a ruckus till late night demanding action. DCP Central had handed over the investigation of the case to ACP Colonelganj Mahesh Kumar. On the basis of the ACP’s report, the Police Commissioner produced Lahan.
Due to fear of deteriorating law and order, the outpost in-charge was sent to the line
The ACP has written in his report that during the investigation, no negligence was found on the part of the outpost in-charge, but now the deployment of the outpost in-charge there can affect the law and order of the area. Due to this, he should be removed from there with immediate effect. On the basis of this report, the outpost in-charge was suspended.
