The body of a person has been found on the railway track in Kaudha police station area of Hamirpur district. On receiving the information about the body being found, the family members said that he had come to his in-laws’ house. It is not known how he came on the railway track. At present, the police reached the spot and started investigating and found the body.

The incident took place near Sijnauda railway crossing in Maudha Kotwali area. Chetram Nishad (42), a resident of Gahrauli Khurd village, had come to his in-laws’ place in Sijnauda. His body was found on the railway track. On receiving the information about the body being found, the deceased’s father Ram Kumar also reached the spot. He told that his son had come to his in-laws’ place last night. His body was found on the railway track this morning. The father gave a written complaint to the police and demanded action.

On receiving information about the body on the railway track, Maudha Kotwali police also reached the spot. After enquiry and investigation, the body has been sent for postmortem. Police told through social media cell that the deceased was addicted to alcohol. Prima facie it appears that the deceased came on the track after consuming alcohol and died after colliding with the train.
