The match was a close one from the start
In this match organized on the football ground of 34th Battalion Bhullanpur, the teams of Bhullanpur and Sonbhadra gave a tough fight to each other from the very beginning. In the first half, the players of both the teams attacked each other’s goalposts but sometimes the cross bar and sometimes the goalkeeper foiled the attempt. No team could score a goal until the first half whistle was blown.

Players of 48th Corps scored a goal in the second half
In the second half, the players of 48th Battalion PAC played brilliantly. The goalkeeper made a brilliant save and the players scored a goal on Bhullanpur on a better pass. As soon as the goal was scored, the entire ground echoed with thunderous applause. This was the score till the final whistle blew. The players took a round of the entire ground and greeted the supporters.

The chief guest gave the Chal Baijanti Shield
The players were honored by Commander 34th Corps Pankaj Pandey by giving them the Chal Baijanti Shield. Bhullanpur PAC was given the runner-up shield. Encouraging the players, Pankaj Pandey said that ‘sports brings out the talent in us and keeps us healthy. In such a situation, all of us should take interest in sports.

180 players from 10 teams participated
A total of 180 players from 10 different battalions of Uttar Pradesh PAC Eastern Zone, namely 4th Battalion, 12th, 20th, 33rd, 34th, 36th, 37th, 39th, 42nd and 48th Battalion, participated in this competition for four days.
