A couple died under suspicious circumstances in Badaun. The bodies of both were found hanging in their room on Monday morning. On getting information about the case, the police reached the spot and took the bodies into custody. The woman’s parents allege that her brother-in-law killed their daughter due to property dispute.

Manoj (22), who lives here, was married to Ranjana (20) of Raipur Bujurg village in May 2022. Manoj used to work as a laborer laying tiles and stones. His parents say that there was a dispute in the family with his brother-in-law regarding property division. There was a fight between the two a few days ago as well.
Taking this fight to its logical conclusion, the brother-in-law killed both of them and hung their bodies using a sari as a noose. The parents of the girl say that the feet of the bodies are on the ground, if both of them had hanged themselves, their feet would have been in the air.

Here, the accused brother-in-law and his wife have fled from the house. As soon as the villagers came to know about the incident on Monday morning, a huge crowd gathered there. CO Bilsi Sushil Singh also reached the spot and recorded the statement of the family members.
Forensic team is investigating
The CO said that at present the forensic team has been called to inspect the crime scene. So that all aspects and evidence related to the incident can be collected. Postmortem of the bodies will also be done. Further action will be taken on the basis of the postmortem report and the complaint. The search for the people who are being accused is going on.
