After the Unnao bus accident, a campaign is being run for checking commercial vehicles on the orders of the Chief Minister. Under this, a checking campaign was conducted on the highway by a joint team of the Transport Department and the Police Department in Mahoba. Under this campaign, commercial vehicles were checked.

Recently, 18 passengers died tragically in a bus accident in Unnao. The bus that met with the accident is registered in the ARTO department of Mahoba district. After this, a checking campaign is going on in the sub-divisional transport department regarding commercial vehicles. The Chief Minister has also given instructions to check the illegal and commercial vehicles running on the highway. Under this, an intensive checking campaign was conducted on Kanpur Sagar Highway under the leadership of ARTO Dayashankar and Traffic CO Ravikant Gond. During this joint checking campaign, a double-decker bus was found violating the rules. Along with this, three other commercial vehicles were also found violating the rules. These illegal vehicles, which were plying with passengers against the rules, have been immediately seized. The joint campaign of police and transport has created panic among illegal vehicle drivers and private bus mafias.
Action will be taken for not following the rules
ARTO Dayashankar said that after getting instructions from the government, commercial and illegal vehicles running on the highway will be checked daily. Strictness is being maintained regarding their permit as well as their fitness. Apart from this, action will also be taken against those vehicles which do not follow traffic rules. He has appealed to the vehicle owners to drive vehicles under road safety rules and traffic rules.
